Thrive Medford in Medford, MA is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our full-time team. You will support veterinarians, assist with surgeries, monitor patient status, collect samples, and maintain precise medical records across our care continuum.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of clinical experience and an AVMA-accredited degree or equivalent. The role requires physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and a collaborative, client-focused approach.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of clinical experience required or preferred
• Veterinary technician licensure preferred, not required
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program preferred; or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act for credentialed technicians.
• Monitor and assess patient status throughout care.
• Collect blood and other samples for testing.
• Place catheters and maintain sterile, organized treatment areas.
• Communicate with clients about health concerns and Thrive Membership options.
• Maintain comprehensive medical records with practice systems.
