Thrive Pet Healthcare in Medford, MA, is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our team. This full-time role (30–40 hours weekly) includes day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, working alongside veterinarians to support quality care and client education.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of clinical experience, AVMA-accredited program preferred, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. We offer competitive pay and a benefits suite to support well-being and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a veterinary technician preferred, not required.
• 1–2 years of clinical experience.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform daily physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care and client education.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures as directed.
• Monitor and assess patient status during exams and treatments.
• Collect blood and other samples for testing and maintain medical records.
• Use safe restraining techniques and keep treatment areas clean and organized.
• Mentor and guide fellow team members where appropriate.
