This full-time role supports veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, anesthesia, and patient care while emphasizing client education and compassionate service.

You will handle intake, bloodwork review, medication administration, records, and teamwork across hospital services to ensure high-quality care for companion animals.

Qualifications

• CVT/LVT/RVT licensure preferred.
• Solid understanding of veterinary medical terminology, medications, and disease processes.
• Strong communication skills for client education and team collaboration.
• Ability to prioritize, stay organized, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to providing exceptional patient and client care.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with routine general practice procedures: exams, diagnostics, anesthesia monitoring, lab work, venipuncture, and catheter placement.
• Support patient intake, client communication, and education on treatments.
• Prepare patients for appointments, including reviewing and interpreting bloodwork, medical history, and diagnostics.
• Administer and monitor medications, ensuring safe and accurate patient care.
• Communicate effectively and empathetically with clients during consultations, discharges, and follow-up updates.
• Maintain accurate patient records and support seamless case management.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and fellow technicians to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support other hospital teams as needed once duties are complete.
