As a Veterinary Technician General Practice at Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Hospital you will be an essential part of our team. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting veterinarians with routine general practice procedures exams diagnostics anesthesia monitoring lab work venipuncture and catheter placement Support with patient intake client communication and education on treatments Preparing patients for appointments including reviewing and interpreting bloodwork medical history and diagnostics Administering and monitoring medications ensuring safe and accurate patient care Communicating effectively and empathetically with clients during consultations discharges and follow up updates Maintaining accurate patient records and supporting seamless case management Collaborating closely with veterinarians and fellow technicians to ensure comprehensive patient care Supporting other hospital teams as needed once duties are complete.
This is a full time position with the following schedule Four 10 hour shifts with one weekend day.
Starting at 1800hour commensurate with experience and licensure.
