Arlington Pet Hospital and Resort is hiring an experienced Veterinary Assistant or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join a seven-veterinarian team and dedicated support staff.

The role offers full-time status with Monday–Friday schedule and rotating Saturdays, competitive pay based on credentials, and extensive benefits including health, retirement, and continuing education support.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary assistant or veterinary technician experience.
• Active veterinary technician license for candidates applying as a Licensed Veterinary Technician.
• Genuine passion for pets and veterinary medicine.

Responsibilities

• Partner with veterinarians and support staff to provide exceptional patient care.
• Assist with examinations, treatments, diagnostic procedures, and surgical care.
• Anticipate the needs of the veterinary team to promote efficient hospital workflow.
• Use sound clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills in patient care.
• Communicate compassionately and professionally with clients about their pets.
• Maintain accurate medical records and clearly document treatments and client communication.
• Help maintain clean, organized, stocked, and treatment-ready clinical areas.
• Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and follow through to achieve positive outcomes.
• Support teammates by requesting or offering help as needed.
• Participate in ongoing training, mentorship, and professional-development opportunities.
