Job summary

Arlington Pet Hospital and Resort is hiring an experienced Veterinary Assistant or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our seven-doctor team. This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with rotating Saturdays and the opportunity to work with advanced medical technology, including IDEXX lab services.

You will collaborate with veterinarians and staff to provide high-quality patient care, maintain medical records, and support examinations, diagnostics and surgeries.

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary assistant or veterinary technician preferred.
• Active veterinary technician license if applying as a Licensed Veterinary Technician.
• Strong empathy, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Partner with veterinarians to provide exceptional patient care.
• Assist with examinations, treatments, diagnostics, and surgical care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and document treatments and client communications.
• Support efficient hospital workflow and supply management.
• Communicate compassionately with clients about their pets' care.
• Participate in ongoing training and mentorship opportunities.
• Help ensure clean, organized, and ready-to-treat clinical areas.
