Job summary

Arlington Pet Hospital and Resort, part of the Vetcor family, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our seven-doctor team. We offer a full-time position with a competitive compensation package based on experience and credentials.

You will support examinations, treatments, and diagnostics, maintain medical records, and contribute to a collaborative, growth-focused environment with opportunities for ongoing learning and advancement.

Qualifications

  • Experience as veterinary assistant or licensed veterinary technician.
  • Active veterinary technician license for LVT applicants.
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate compassionately.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, diagnostics, and surgeries.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and document client communications.
  • Support efficient hospital workflow and clean, stocked clinical areas.
  • Provide excellent patient and client care with professionalism.

Status: Full-time

Salary: Competitive and based on experience, credentials, and skill set

Schedule: Monday - Friday. Rotating Saturdays.

What You'll Do
  • Partner with veterinarians and support staff to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Assist with examinations, treatments, diagnostic procedures, and surgical care.
  • Anticipate the needs of the veterinary team to promote efficient hospital workflow.
  • Use sound clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills when supporting patient care.
  • Communicate compassionately and professionally with clients about their pets' care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and clearly document treatments and client communication.
  • Help maintain clean, organized, stocked, and treatment-ready clinical areas.
  • Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and follow through to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Support teammates by asking for help when needed and offering help whenever possible.
  • Participate in ongoing training, mentorship, and professional-development opportunities.
What You'll Bring
  • Previous veterinary assistant or veterinary technician experience.
  • An active veterinary technician license for candidates applying as a Licensed Veterinary Technician.
