Metro Paws Animal Hospital - Oak Cliff in Dallas, Texas is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our veterinary team. You will provide essential medical support to veterinarians and care for pets and their owners, contributing to a compassionate, growth‑oriented workplace.

The role requires 2+ years as a veterinary technician, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, experience in surgery, and the physical ability to lift 50+ lbs. A weekend day is required with a $2 shift differential.

Qualifications

• Two years of previous veterinary technician experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience assisting in surgery.
• Ability to lift 50+lbs.
• 1 weekend day required (+$2 shift differential).

Responsibilities

• Intravenous catheter placement and venipuncture.
• Administer drugs (IV, SQ, Oral).
• Perform radiographs.
• Assist doctors with patient care and client education.
• Provide care to hospitalized patients and discharge after care.
• Dental prophylaxis and dental radiographs.
• Surgical preparation, monitoring, assisting and recovering patients.
• Collaborate in a team environment.
