Job summary

Washington Family Veterinary Clinic is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to support veterinarians with patient care and treatments. You’ll monitor hospitalized pets, prepare prescriptions, perform in-house lab work, educate clients, and assist with surgical procedures.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, anesthesia, medical record-keeping, and clear communication with vets and clients to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required or higher education in veterinary fields.
• Willingness to pursue further education toward Licensed Veterinary Technician status.
• At least one year of recent experience in a veterinary setting.
• Ability to perform routine veterinary procedures and assist with care.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and communicate clearly with clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgeries as needed.
• Monitor hospitalized patients and provide compassionate care, including anesthesia support.
• Prepare medications, collect lab samples, and perform in-house tests.
• Educate clients on care, vaccines, and preventive medicine.
• Maintain inventory, hospital cleanliness, and accurate medical records.
