Job summary

Hickory Pet Inn/COVE Animal Health in Plymouth Meeting, PA, is seeking a Veterinary Technician - General Practice. The role involves assisting veterinarians with exams, anesthesia monitoring, lab work and client education.

You’ll work four 10-hour shifts with one weekend day per week, and start at $18.00/hour, with a $2,000 retention bonus. CVT/LVT/RVT licensure is preferred, along with a solid understanding of veterinary terminology, medications, and disease processes.

Qualifications

• CVT/LVT/RVT licensure preferred.
• Solid understanding of veterinary terminology, medications and diseases.
• Excellent communication for client education and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, anesthesia monitoring and lab work.
• Support patient intake, client communication and education on treatments.
• Prepare patients for appointments and review medical history and diagnostics.
• Administer and monitor medications with safe, accurate patient care.
• Maintain patient records and assist with case management.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and technicians to ensure comprehensive care.
