Job summary

Salazar Road Veterinary Clinic seeks a versatile Veterinary Technician to support outpatient and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry. The role balances exam room care, client communication, and hands-on procedural support in a general practice.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of veterinary experience, strong patient care skills, and the ability to educate clients while collaborating with the team. Compensation is $17–$25 per hour for a full-time, 4/10 schedule (Mon–Fri).

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience.
• Proficiency in patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring.
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, and dental procedures.
• Proficient venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
• Comfort with radiology positioning and safety protocols.
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients and educate them about care.

Responsibilities

• Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows.
• Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Assist in surgery and dental procedures including radiographs.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
• Review treatment plans and discharge instructions with clients.
• Identify patient concerns and support case management across the hospital.
• Build client relationships through education and attentive service.
