Job summary

Animal HealthCare Center in Florida is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry. You will balance exam room care, client communication, and hands-on procedural support in a dynamic general practice.

This role offers a flexible, full-time schedule with 5/8 shifts, Monday-Friday and occasional Saturday coverage, along with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• 1+ years veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience
• Proficiency in patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring
• Proficiency in surgical assistance and aseptic technique
• Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
• Radiology positioning and safety protocols
• Medication administration
• Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing
• Accurate medical record documentation
• Safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint techniques
• Client education and communication

Responsibilities

• Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
• Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
• Assisting in surgery
• Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
• Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
• Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
• Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital
• Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
