North Phoenix Animal Clinic in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to support outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry. The role balances exam room care, client communication, and hands-on procedural support in a general practice environment.

This position offers a full-time 4/10 schedule, Monday through Friday, with a compensation range of $19–$22 per hour.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience.
• Proficiency in patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring.
• Anesthetic monitoring, and recovery.
• Surgical assistance and aseptic technique.
• Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement.
• Radiology positioning and safety protocols.
• Medication administration and accurate drug calculations.
• Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing.
• Accurate medical record documentation.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong critical thinking and attention to detail.
• Effective teamwork and professional communication skills.
• Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows.
• Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Assist in surgery and dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography.
• Maintain accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation.
• Review treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately.
• Identify patient concerns and support efficient case management across the hospital.
• Build strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service.
