Farmersville Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced or licensed Veterinary Technician to join our four-doctor mixed animal practice. We offer a four-day workweek with rotating Saturdays, a negotiable salary based on experience, and a robust benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• Previous Veterinary Technician experience.
• Veterinary Technician licensure welcomed.
• Strong patient care, handling and restraint skills.
• Knowledge of Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques.
• Experience with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and diagnostic procedures.

Responsabilités

• Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and assessments.
• Safely restrain patients using Fear Free and low-stress techniques.
• Perform venipuncture and collect diagnostic samples.
• Place IV catheters and assist with fluid therapy.
• Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
• Perform in-house lab testing and radiographs; assist with imaging.
• Prepare patients for surgical procedures and assist with anesthesia.
