Job summary

The Veterinary Technician at Coastal Sunrise Animal Hospital assists veterinarians and other staff with patient care, monitors hospitalized pets, prepares prescriptions, and supports surgical procedures. You will take histories, vitals, and handle in-house lab work, radiographs, and client education to ensure high-quality outcomes in a busy clinic.

This role requires weekend availability, strong communication, compassion, and teamwork; prior veterinary experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Weekend availability may be required.
• Previous veterinary experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Basic math for calculating dosages.
• Strong communication with clients and team.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in exams and surgeries.
• Take histories, vitals, and weights; educate clients.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor during procedures.
• Obtain samples and perform in-house laboratory testing.
• Take and develop radiographs with proper safety procedures.
• Provide basic animal handling and restraint.
