Job summary

Sunset Animal Clinic seeks an experienced Veterinary Technician to support outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry. The role balances exam room care, client communication, and hands-on procedural support in a dynamic general practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience.
• Proficiency in patient assessment, nursing care, monitoring, and inpatient care.
• Surgical setup and assistance, aseptic technique, and safe patient restraint.
• Venipuncture, injections, medication administration, and lab sample collection.
• Radiology positioning, safety, and medical record documentation.
• Strong client communication, teamwork, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows.
• Assist in surgery.
• Maintain accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation.
• Review treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately.
• Identify patient concerns and support efficient case management across the hospital.
• Build strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service.
