Job summary

Cobb Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Technician to assist veterinarians with patient care, monitor hospitalized pets, prepare prescriptions, and support surgical procedures. The role requires strong communication, organization, and teamwork to ensure high-quality client service and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include taking histories and vital signs, assisting with exams, obtaining samples, and maintaining labs and treatment areas.

Qualifications

• Experience in veterinary setting preferred.
• Ability to work weekends as required.
• Basic math for dosage calculations.
• Strong communication with clients and team.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in medicine and surgery as needed.
• Take histories, vital signs, and weights during outpatient exams; educate clients.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor during procedures.
• Obtain and process samples; perform in-house lab tests; prepare specimens for external labs.
• Take and develop radiographs following safety procedures.
• Handle and restrain animals during exams.
• Administer and monitor meds, anesthesia, vaccines and treatments.
• Maintain clean and restocked exam rooms and equipment.
