Job summary

The University of Minnesota veterinary team is seeking a Veterinary Technician to assist clinicians and support staff across multiple service areas, from routine care to specialty services. Qualifications

• Veterinary Technician: Graduate of Veterinary Technician or equivalent program. Must be eligible for certification through MVMA/MAVT within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Clinicians, clients and patients with receiving, assessment, work-up, discharge, etc., prepare patients for procedures including radiography, anesthesia, vaccinations and treatments.
• Apply clinical knowledge to diagnosis, treatment, and care under supervision of a DVM.
• Provide excellent service to DVMs and medical team to support quality patient care.
• Facilitate open communication and teamwork among clinical care team members to ensure positive patient outcomes.
