Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Levittown, PA is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency and Critical Care team. This full-time role features a Wed–Sat schedule, 4:00 pm–2:00 am, and a competitive hourly pay range plus shift differentials.

A sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 is available based on credentials and experience. Duties include anesthesia management, emergency triage, radiography, vital signs monitoring, CPR, phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, feeding tubes, and

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia in patients.
• Triage emergency cases and obtain vitals such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
• Perform digital radiography using proper technique and patient positioning.
• Maintain a complete understanding of normal patient vital sign ranges, including heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
• Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs, alerting the Veterinarian to changes and issues.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Calculate medical math and administer medications via appropriate routes and durations.
• Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters in all peripheral vessels.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
• Mentor and train other co‑workers.
• Show patience and empathy when addressing client concerns.

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Levittown, PA is hiring an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our thriving Emergency and Critical Care team.

Sign‑on bonus: up to $5,000 based on credentials/experience*

Schedule: Wed – Sat, 4:00 pm – 2:00 am

Pay: $22.15 – $44.91 per hour + competitive shift differentials

Pay band note: Dependent on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool. Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience.

Shift differentials

• Mon – Fri: 6 pm – 8 am = $3.50 differential
• Sat & Sun: 6 pm – 8 am = $5.00 differential
• Sat & Sun: 8 am – 6 pm = $3.50 differential

Duties Of An Emergency Veterinary Technician
