BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring experienced Veterinary Technicians to join our team in the Emergency and Critical Care department.

BluePearl Pet Hospital offers an exciting, fast-paced role for Veterinary Technicians that allows you to utilize and expand your skills while working alongside talented veterinary professionals.

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:

1. Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia using anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
2. Triage emergency cases upon arrival, including obtaining vital signs such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
3. Perform digital radiography with proper technique and patient positioning.
4. Understand normal ranges of vital signs and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs, alerting veterinarians to changes.
5. Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
6. Calculate medical dosages accurately, including constant rate infusions, and administer medications appropriately.
7. Proficiently perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters in peripheral vessels.
8. Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
9. Mentor and train colleagues, demonstrating patience and empathy in client interactions.
