BluePearl Pet Hospital in Katy, TX is hiring an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team!

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilize and expand your skills while working alongside talented veterinary professionals.

Schedule: Full-Time

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:

1. Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia in patients, using anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
2. Triage emergency cases, obtain vitals such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
3. Perform digital radiography with proper technique and patient positioning.
4. Understand normal ranges of patient vital signs.
5. Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs, alerting Veterinarian to changes.
6. Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
7. Calculate medical math, including constant rate infusions, and administer medications appropriately.
8. Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters.
9. Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
10. Mentor and train colleagues.
11. Address client concerns with patience and empathy.
