Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Fort Lauderdale is hiring a full-time Critical Care Veterinary Technician. The role involves fast-paced ICU care, critical patient triage, and advanced procedures, with a compensation range of $20–$40 per hour.

Flexibility for nights, weekends and holidays is required, and advancement through our competency leveling system is available. You will work in a collaborative environment, monitor ventilator cases, place IV catheters and central lines, and mentor other staff as

• Licensed veterinary technician with critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Triage and obtain patient history.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Place IVCs and advanced catheters (e.g., Jugular/Central/PICC).
• Monitor and care for ventilator cases.
• Collaborate with technicians and assistants to deliver advanced medicine.
• Mentor and train co-workers.
• Nurse critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their pet parents.

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring a Critical Care Veterinary Technician!

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system.

Tentative Schedule:

Wednesday - Friday, swing shift. Flexibility required

We are hiring an exceptional Veterinary Technician to join our team. If you enjoy patient care and working in a fast-paced, challenging, interesting, and collaborative environment, this is a full-time position that requires flexibility to work nights and weekends and holidays.

As a n ICU/Critical Care Technician, you will:

• Triage and obtain patient history
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
• Place IVC's and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines.
• Monitor and care for Ventilator Cases
• Work along side other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to your patients
• Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
• Feel gratification of nursing critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their pet parents
