Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Tampa, FL is hiring a Critical Care Veterinary Technician. This full-time role requires flexibility for nights and weekends.

Pay ranges from $21.00 to $42.00 per hour, dependent on experience and advancement through our competency levels. As an ICU/Critical Care Technician, you will triage, obtain history, initiate CPR when needed, place IVs and advanced catheters, monitor ventilator cases, and collaborate with a skilled team.

Qualifications

• Licensed veterinary technician or eligible for certification.
• Experience in ICU/critical care is preferred.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Triage and obtain patient history.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Place IVs and advanced catheters (Jugular/Central/PICC).
• Monitor and care for ventilator cases.
• Collaborate with skilled technicians and assistants.
• Mentor and train other staff.

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring a Critical Care Veterinary Technician!

Pay: $21.00 - $42.00 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system.

Tentative Schedule: Daytime and Weekends

We are hiring an exceptional Veterinary Technician to join our team. If you enjoy patient care and working in a fast-paced, challenging, interesting, and collaborative environment, This is a full-time position that requires flexibility to work nights and weekends and holidays.

As an ICU/Critical Care Technician, you will:

• Triage and obtain patient history
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
• Place IVC's and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines.
• Monitor and care for Ventilator Cases
• Work along side other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to your patients
• Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
• Feel gratification of nursing critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their pet parents
