BluePearl Pet Hospital in Levittown, PA is hiring Emergency Veterinary Technicians for our busy Emergency and Critical Care department.

Are you interested in working in a fast-paced, learning environment? Do you love emergency cases and providing care and comfort to critically ill or injured patients? Are you passionate about enriching lives through remarkable pet care?

Schedule: 4 X 10 Hr, 8:00am-6:00pm, Sunday through Wednesday.

Pay: $21.00 - $43.00/hour, depending on experience and career progression through our leveling system. We also offer competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends, based on hours worked:

• Mon - Fri: 6pm to 8am = $3.50 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.00 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $3.50 Shift Differential

Working as an Emergency Veterinary Technician at BluePearl offers a dynamic environment to utilize and expand your skills alongside talented veterinary professionals.

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, your responsibilities include:

• Inducing, monitoring, and recovering anesthesia using appropriate equipment.
• Triage of emergency cases, including vital sign assessment.
• Performing digital radiography with proper technique.
• Understanding normal vital sign ranges and interpreting blood pressure and other vital signs.
• Identifying patients at risk for arrest and initiating CPR.
• Calculating medical dosages and administering medications appropriately.
• Performing phlebotomy and placing IV catheters.
• Placing and maintaining feeding tubes and central lines.
• Mentoring and training team members.
• Addressing client concerns with patience and empathy.
