Portland Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Care (PVESC) is seeking an Emergency & Critical Care Technician for day shifts in Portland, Maine. You will triage, stabilize, and treat emergency patients alongside our Criticalists, ER doctors, and nursing team.

Ideal candidates hold LVT/CVT/RVT credentials or strong veterinary assistant experience and thrive in fast-paced environments. We offer comprehensive benefits, sign-on incentives, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• LVT/CVT/RVT credentials or strong Veterinary Assistant experience.
• Experience with diagnostics, imaging, and anesthesia monitoring.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency setting.

Responsibilities

• Triage and stabilize emergency patients.
• Administer medications and manage fluid therapy.
• Perform and assist with diagnostics, including radiographs, bloodwork, and ECGs.
• Monitor anesthesia and support emergency procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment plans.

The Role

Full-time, Various Shifts Available

• Sunday Monday Tuesday | 7:30 AM 8:00 PM
• Sunday Monday Wednesday | 7:30 AM 8:00 PM
• Thursday Friday Saturday | 7:30 AM 8:00 PM
• shifts offered may change depending on hiring needs
• Some holidays required.

As an ECC Technician, you ll work alongside our Criticalists, ER doctors and nursing team to:
