BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring experienced Veterinary Technicians to work in our busy Emergency department.

Pay: $24.00 - $49.00/hr

This pay band is a starting point and depends on experience and advancement through the CareerTrax leveling system.

We offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked during nights and weekends.
*Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum.

Examples of shift differentials:

• Mon - Fri: 6pm to 8am = $4.00
• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.50
• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $4.00

BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital offers an exciting, fast-paced role for Veterinary Technicians to utilize and expand their skills, working alongside talented veterinary professionals.

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:

• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia, using anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases, obtaining vitals such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique and patient positioning.

Additional responsibilities include understanding normal vital sign ranges, obtaining and interpreting blood pressure, recognizing at-risk patients, initiating CPR, calculating medical math, administering medications, performing phlebotomy, and placing IV catheters.

Other duties involve placing feeding tubes and central line catheters, mentoring colleagues, and addressing client concerns with patience and empathy.
