Job summary

Dermatology for Animals is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician to join the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Rockville, MD. Four 10-hour shifts with no weekends.

You will support patient care during visits, including hands-on dermatology treatments and laboratory testing, as well as patient intake, monitoring and discharge. This role emphasizes collaborative, compassionate care within Thrive Pet Healthcare.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care).
• CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred.
• Superior/advanced technical skills.
• Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, SpO2, and EtCO2 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care).
• Possesses a positive work attitude
• Self-motivated
• Excellent communication and organization skills

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $24 – $26 / hour. The actual compensation will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
