Job summary

National Veterinary Associates, Inc. is seeking a veterinary assistant to support our clinical team across multiple departments. You will assist with patient care, monitor hospitalized pets, and help with postoperative care while maintaining clean and stocked work areas.

You’ll also restrain animals during procedures, assist with diagnostics, and communicate with pet owners as part of a dedicated team. The role requires a compassionate, hardworking team player who can multitask in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and able to multitask.
• Able to work with animals under stressful conditions.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs and restraining animals as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and treatment.
• Monitor hospitalized pets and assist after surgery.
• Maintain inventory and stocking.
• Restrain animals during blood draws and nail trims.
• Aid with routine diagnostic tests (radiographs, bloodwork, fecal).
• Sterilize surgical instruments/equipment.
• Clean and disinfect cages, kennels, and treatment areas.
• Administer medications under supervision.
• Feed and bathe animals.
• Answer phones and help clients with their pets.
