About You

As a Veterinary Technician, you'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey. Your work will include outpatient treatments, laboratory tests, surgery assistance, and support services such as admitting and discharging patients.

Experience & Skills Requirements:
  • Veterinary technician licensure (preferred)
  • Strong anesthesia monitoring skills
  • Phlebotomy experience
  • Animal handling experience
  • Ability to multi-task and learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Energetic team player with great communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new applications quickly
  • Willingness to learn from new experiences and provide input in all aspects of patient care
Role Responsibilities:
  • Support veterinarians to ensure quality care, advocate for pets, and educate clients
  • Assist with surgeries and procedures, following state regulations
  • Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and Thrive Membership options
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Obtain health histories and maintain medical charts
  • Use safe restraining techniques and keep treatment areas clean and organized
  • Operate Electrocardiogram equipment, including 6-lead EKG and Holter systems
  • Advise owners on home ECG monitoring with Alivecor
  • Be willing to guide, mentor, and support team members
