Metropolitan Veterinary Associates (MVA) is seeking a Veterinary Technician Assistant - Discharge to support our clinical team as pets transition home after hospitalization or treatment.

You’ll communicate with clients and teammates, prepare patients for discharge, and assist with general care tasks. Join a team dedicated to compassionate, high-quality patient care and ongoing professional growth.

• Experience and comfort with dog and cat restraint and handling.
• Demonstrates strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with clients and team members (both verbal and written)
• Prepare patients for discharge, including removal of IV catheters, fitting e-collars, and assisting with loading pets into vehicles
• Support general patient care responsibilities including laundry, husbandry, walking dogs, and cage cleaning
• Assist with diagnostics as needed
• Stock and organize supplies throughout the hospital
• Maintain a clean and organized environment that meets the highest standards of care
• Collaborate with our nursing and support teams across departments
• Provide compassionate communication and support to clients navigating post-hospital care
• Stay organized and calm in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and empathy
