Job summary

The role emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and client education on preventive care. Ideal candidates will have NAVTA-approved training and a high-school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians and veterinary technicians in delivering quality veterinary care.
• Help maintain the flow of patients throughout the hospital.
• Communicate patient status and care with the veterinarian and technicians.
• Carry out or set up procedures not requiring veterinarian/technician assistance.
• Adhere to hospital standards to keep pets safe and maintain clean treatment areas.
• Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans and preventive care.
• Mentor other hospital team members.
