Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Checks patient medical records for past histories, enters in computer and files.
2. Takes medical histories and vital signs of patients.*
3. Maintains client educational material in an efficient manner.*
4. Admits and discharges patients.*
5. Takes, processes, and logs prescription refills in-house, calls out to pharmacy and online pharmacy.*
6. Monitors hospital patients and logs vital signs.*
7. Administers medications to patients as needed.*
8. Places catheters and performs blood draws.*
9. Restrains and assists the doctor during exams, treatments, and anesthesia procedures.*
10. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stoop, bend, and stand on feet for long periods.
11. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Registered Veterinary Technicians in [STATE] are preferred, but not necessarily required. We are open and willing to train the right candidate.
