Job description

Three-doctor small animal practice, looking for a highly motivated, knowledgeable, compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician/Veterinary Assistant. MUST HAVE 2 years of experience working in a veterinary clinic or small animal hospital. We offer competitive compensation and a Simple IRA retirement plan. Responsibilities include assist veterinarians in medical procedures, administer medications, record health information, provide basic animal care, educate pet owners, take x-rays, monitor anesthesia. Required skills include animal handling, good communication, laboratory skills, animal preparation, surgery assisting, draw blood samples, place IV catheters, perform dental prophylaxis, radiography.

Completion of an accredited Veterinary Technician program.
Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification in North Carolina preferred.
Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and medical procedures.
Ability to handle emergency situations efficiently and effectively.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
