Belvoir Pet Hospital is a busy, AAHA-accredited practice offering high-quality care for small animals in our community. We are a 5-doctor team with a proactive Hospital Manager and a skilled support staff, well equipped with modern medical technology.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience with animals in kennels or related setting preferred but not required.
• Ability to handle dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments.
• Willingness to learn veterinary skills and procedures.
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and safely assist with patient restraint.

Responsibilities

• Assist with safe patient restraint during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Support outpatient treatments and patient care under veterinarians and technicians.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain treatment, exam, and kennel areas.
• Restock supplies and help maintain hospital organization.
• Monitor patient comfort and report concerns to the veterinary team.
• Support efficient daily hospital operations and patient flow.
• Provide compassionate care to patients and excellent service to clients.

Job description

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with safe patient restraint for examinations, treatments, and procedures
• Supporting outpatient treatments and patient care under the direction of veterinarians and technicians
• Cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining treatment, exam, and kennel areas
• Restocking supplies and helping maintain hospital organization
• Monitoring patient comfort and reporting concerns to the veterinary team
• Supporting efficient daily hospital operations and patient flow
• Providing compassionate care to patients and excellent service to clients

Schedule and compensation:

• Compensation: $15 - $17 per hour, for each hour worked
• This is afull-time, flexible positionwith availability neededMonday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Flexibility within these days is available based on hospital needs.

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

• 1+ years of experience working with animals in a kennel, dog daycare, boarding facility, shelter, grooming salon, or veterinary setting is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in the following skills:
  • Comfortable handling dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments
  • Strong willingness to learn veterinary skills and procedures
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and safely assist with patient restraint throughout the workday
