Job summary

Animal Medical Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our team in a busy five-doctor practice offering boarding, daycare, and grooming. You will serve as the liaison between doctors, clients, and patients, organize diagnostics, and assist with hospitalization and patient care.

Strong communication and customer service skills are essential to maintain high-quality patient outcomes. We value emotional intelligence, work/life balance, and a positive, supportive team

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of veterinary experience.
  • Basic knowledge of veterinary medicine and terminology.
  • Ability to communicate calmly, clearly, and effectively with both staff and clients.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow through.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a desire to provide outstanding service to clients.
  • Ability to handle high stress situations.
  • Flexible weekend availability.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise between doctors, clients, and patients.
  • Organize/track patient diagnostics.
  • Coordinate hospitalized patient treatment.
  • Prepare patient discharge reports and in-hospital updates.
  • Communicate with clients, referring DVMs, and pharmacies regarding appointments, medical concerns, patient updates, referrals, and prescriptions.
  • Assist staff with animal restraint, radiography, and lab equipment.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Serve the critical role of being the liaison between doctors, clients, and patients
