Job summary
Austin Veterinary Diagnostic Hospital in Southwest Austin is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician to join a well-equipped practice providing in-house diagnostics and comprehensive patient care. You will work closely with veterinarians during exams, surgeries, and anesthesia monitoring, delivering high-quality nursing care and client communication.
The role offers 4- or 5-day schedules with rotating Saturdays, and a negotiable salary based on experience along with a robust benefits package
Qualifications
- 2+ years of veterinary technician experience preferred.
- Surgery and anesthesia monitoring experience preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- Team-oriented attitude and willingness to ongoing learning.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with exams, surgery, and anesthesia monitoring.
- Perform diagnostic procedures including lab work and advanced imaging.
- Provide high-quality nursing care and patient monitoring.
- Administer medications and ensure accurate treatment protocols.
- Support client communication and education.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient treatment environment.
