Job summary

Riverview Animal Hospital in Durango, CO is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join a growing team of professionals. The role offers full-time or part-time opportunities with the chance to work across a broad case variety and advanced procedures.

Qualifications

• Credentialed Veterinary Technicians encouraged to apply.
• Anesthesia monitoring experience required.
• Emergency anesthesia experience preferred; dental experience preferred (training available).

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient histories and maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, and treatments.
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and medication administration.
• Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures.
• Perform laboratory diagnostics, including hematology, cytology, urinalysis, and blood chemistry; assist with dentistry and radiographs.
• Support hospitalized and urgent care patients; educate clients on treatment plans and preventive care.
