You will maintain operating rooms and prep areas, handle medical waste disposal, and assist with rodent breeding colonies. A BS in biology or a related field and at least one year in animal research are required.

Responsibilities for the Veterinary Technician include:

• Assist in surgery setup including disinfection and autoclaving of supplies, equipment and rooms

Qualifications for the Veterinary Technician include:

• A minimum of 1-year veterinary experience within animal research
• Demonstrated proficiency with anesthesia monitoring, anesthesia machines, ventilators/respirators, autoclaves, and surgical tools.
• Technical capabilities with animal breeding, tissue sampling, harvesting, collection, and rodent mouse models
• BS in biology related field required
