EXPERIENCE AS A VETERINARY TECHNICIAN IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION. No phone calls please.

Palmer Veterinary Clinic has a position available for a Veterinary Technician; experience as a Veterinary Technician required, licensing is preferred. Technician responsibilities include venipuncture, administering injections, laboratory work, performing radiographs with proper technique, anesthetic induction and monitoring, surgical prep and assistance, dental prophylaxis, patient treatments, elective surgical releases, client education/client communication, computer record entry, filling prescriptions, etc.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with strong communication skills and a good work ethic.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with animals as a Veterinary Technician REQUIRED
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Physical stamina to handle animals of various sizes and lift heavy objects

This position is full time, currently with 4 - 10 hour shifts (potentially 3 - 12 hour shifts in the future). We hope to open most Saturday/Sundays in the future to meet the demand of our busy practice, so availability to work weekends is a must.
