Job summary

West LA Veterinary Group is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Technician/Assistant to join our caring team. You will assist veterinarians with surgeries, monitor patient recovery, and coordinate animal care while maintaining clear client communication.

Both full-time and part-time roles are available, with compensation based on experience. You will work closely with clinic staff to ensure the health and well-being of all pets.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Veterinary Technician or similar role preferred but training is available.
• Knowledge of animal care and handling.
• Excellent communication with clients and team members.
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a busy clinic.
• Patience and a genuine love for animals.

Responsibilities

• Triage pets as they arrive at the clinic.
• Interview pet owners to obtain a patient history.
• Take vital signs and collect samples for in-house testing.
• Assist with surgeries and monitor animals post-operation.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Provide at-home care instructions to clients.
• Place IV catheters and administer vaccines.
• Perform radiographs and dental cleanings.
• Keep accurate patient records and grooming tasks.

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, hard-working and self-motivated Veterinarian Technician/Assistant to join our team. Veterinary Technician responsibilities include assisting the Veterinarian with surgeries and procedures, coordinating animal care, and monitoring animal recovery. You will work closely with the entire clinic staff to ensure the health and well-being of all of our pet patients. Individuals must be comfortable communicating with clients. If you are passionate about providing exceptional animal care, we’d like to meet you. Both full-time and part-time positions are available. Salary will be based on experience and skill level.

Responsibilities

• Triage pets as they arrive at the clinic

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar role is preferred but we are willing to train motivated individuals.
