Job summary

Andrews Veterinary Clinic in Andrews, Texas is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our high-volume, fast-paced team. Our practice provides preventative and urgent care across multiple species, with a strong emphasis on client education and compassionate service.

You will play a vital role in patient care—from wellness exams and diagnostics to anesthesia monitoring and post-operative support. We value teamwork, clear communication, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of veterinary clinical experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
• Able to multitask in a high-volume practice.
• Willingness to work weekends and a rotating on-call schedule.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint for a variety of species.
• Ability to perform nursing care in a hospital or outdoor setting.
• Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare.
• Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Skilled in phlebotomy and IV catheter placement.
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience preferred.
• Dental experience, scaling, polishing, charting, radiographs preferred.
• Laboratory skills including cytology set-up and interpretation.
