VCA West Suburban Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our exceptional team!

Schedule: Full-time opp with rotating Saturdays.

Compensation: $21.00 – $26.00/hour. Pay range is negotiable based on experience, education, skills, and credentials.

The Opportunity

As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll play an essential role in patient care and client experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who enjoys hands-on nursing care, teamwork, and continuing to grow their skills in a supportive environment.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with a variety of surgical procedures and treatments
• Calculate, induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia patients
• Monitor vital signs and respond appropriately throughout surgical procedures
• Provide exceptional perioperative nursing care and patient advocacy
• Perform dental prophylaxis, charting, and dental radiographs
• Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostics
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Obtain patient histories, exams/TPR, and vaccines
• Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, and at-home care
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
• Support a collaborative team environment focused on outstanding patient care
