AmeriVet in Wakefield, RI is seeking a full-time veterinary technician to join our modern facility. Responsibilities include restraining animals, assisting in surgery and recovery, IV catheter placement, blood draws, bloodwork, radiography, and operating lab equipment.

A team-focused, growth-minded professional is preferred. We offer a sign-on bonus up to $3,500 based on experience, flexible scheduling, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary technician with hands-on animal handling.
• Ability to restrain patients and assist in surgical procedures.
• Proficiency with x-ray positioning and basic lab work.

Responsibilities

• Handle and restrain animals for examinations and procedures.
• Room patients, assist in surgery, and support postoperative care.
• Place IV catheters and draw blood for testing.
• Run bloodwork and operate laboratory equipment.
• Take radiographs and ensure proper image quality.
• Educate clients and work collaboratively with the team.
