Job summary

Animal Medical Center in Trappe, PA is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our AAHA-accredited clinic. You will provide compassionate care, maintain records, prepare exam rooms, and assist veterinarians in medical, surgical, and dental procedures.

Our team emphasizes client education and high-quality medicine, with access to digital imaging and state-of-the-art training facilities. This full-time on-site role requires evening availability.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their families.
  • Keep accurate medical records per hospital policy.
  • Prepare and maintain exam rooms and treatment areas.
  • Keep animals calm and still during procedures.
  • Prepare procedure estimates and discuss costs with clients.
  • Explain follow-up and home care instructions.
  • Assist Veterinarian in medical, surgical, and dental procedures.
  • Care for surgical materials and keep the operating room stocked.

Veterinary Technician

Animal Medical Center in Trappe, PA

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones
  • Keep accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy
  • Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas
  • Keep furry friends calm and still during procedures
  • Prepare estimates for procedures and discusses financial commitments with clients
  • Explain necessary follow-up and home care instructions
  • Stock clinic treatment area and exam rooms, and inform inventory manager when supplies need to be ordered
  • Assist the Veterinarian in medical, surgical, and dental procedures (be comfortable with blood draws; prepare patients for surgery; administer anesthesia; monitor patients during surgery and recovery; administer fluids)
  • Care for all surgical materials and keep the operating room properly stocked and prepared for surgery
