Overview

Ravenwood Veterinary Clinic is looking for a Full-Time Veterinary Technician to join our team!

We are an AAHA-accredited hospital offering advanced services, including in-house diagnostics, ultrasound, orthopedic surgeries, advanced dentistry, chemotherapy, and specialized care for exotics, avian, and wildlife species. Our recently remodeled facility features 14 exam rooms and 7 doctors.

We seek a compassionate, dependable veterinary assistant with previous veterinary experience; experience with exotics, avian, and wildlife is a plus. Strong communication skills and Saturday availability are required.

Compensation

Starting around $19-$24 per hour, based on experience

Shift Details

Full-time (4x10-hour shifts), including rotating Saturdays

Job Summary

The Veterinary Assistant supports the medical team by assisting with patient care, medication refills, and other duties as directed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicates effectively, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

How you'll make an impact:

• Provide quality patient care alongside medical professionals.
• Proficient in laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, and dentistry skills.
• Record medical, client, and case information; review records and estimates with clients.
• Schedule appointments, process payments, check-in clients, and answer calls.
• Participate in cleaning and equipment maintenance.
• Support a culture of critical thinking, problem solving, engagement, inclusion, and diversity.

Qualifications

Ideal qualifications:

• 1+ years of technician experience required.
• Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT).
• Experience monitoring anesthesia and performing exam room duties (3-6 months).
• Ability to draw blood from Jugular and Cephalic veins; place IV Catheter.
