Overview

Ravenwood Veterinary Clinic is looking for a
Full-Time Veterinary Technician to join our team!

We are an AAHA-accredited hospital offering a variety of advanced services, including in-house diagnostics, ultrasound, orthopedic surgeries, advanced dentistry, advanced surgery, chemotherapy, and specialized care for exotics, avian, and wildlife species. Our facility was recently remodeled, featuring 14 exam rooms and 7 doctors.

We’re looking for a compassionate, dependable veterinary assistant to join our dedicated team. Previous experience in veterinary medicine is preferred, and exotics, avian, and wildlife experience is a plus. Strong communication skills and Saturday availability are required.

Compensation:
Starting around $19-$24 per hour, based on experience

Shift Details:
Full-time (4x10-hour shifts), including rotating Saturdays

Job Summary:
The Veterinary Assistant supports the medical team by assisting with patient care, medication refills, and other duties as directed by the veterinary staff. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicates clearly with clients and team members, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

Responsibilities

How you'll make an impact:
  • Provide quality patient care in tandem with other medical professionals.
  • Be proficient in a variety of skills ranging from but not limited to: laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, surgery and dentistry.
  • Record all pertinent medical, client and case related information in patient files. Review medical records, estimates or discharge instructions with clients.
  • Schedule appointments, take payments and check-in clients. Answer practice phone lines.
  • Participate in any special cleaning duties and equipment maintenance as directed.
  • Support a work environment and culture that values critical thinking, problem solving, engagement, inclusion and diversity at all levels.

Qualifications

Ideal qualifications:
  • 1+ years of technician experience required.
  • Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT or LVMT) specific positions also available!
  • Have minimum of 3-6 months experience monitoring anesthesia and performing exam room tech duties.
  • Be able to draw blood from both Jugular and Cephalic. Be able to place an IV Catheter.
