BluePearl Pet Hospital in Langhorne, PA is seeking an exceptional Veterinary Technician to join our ICU team. You will provide critical care, anesthesia, triage, and diagnostic support in a fast-paced emergency setting.

The role requires flexible nights and weekends, with a pay range of $21–$43 per hour and competitive shift differentials. You will mentor peers, ensure patient comfort, and collaborate with veterinarians to deliver remarkable care for pets.

Qualifications

• Emergency veterinary technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients.
• Triage emergency cases and monitor vitals.
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique.
• Understand normal ranges for patient vital signs.
• Obtain and interpret blood pressure; alert changes.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest; initiate CPR.
• Calculate medical dosages and administer medications correctly.
• Phlebotomy and IV catheter placement.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central lines.
• Mentor and train coworkers.
• Address client concerns with compassion.

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Langhorne, PA is hiring a Veterinary Technician to work in our ICU!

Schedule:

3 x 12hrs OR 4 x 10hrs:

Pay:

$21.00 - $43.00 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system.

We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends. Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum. For example:

• Mon - Fri: 6pm to 8am = $3.50 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.00 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $3.50 Shift Differential

We are hiring an exceptional Veterinary Technician to join our team. If you enjoy patient care and working in a fast-paced, challenging, interesting, and collaborative environment This is a full-time position that requires flexibility to work nights and weekends and holidays.

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients and use anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases as they arrive at the hospital including obtaining vitals such as temperature heart rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure.
• Perform digital radiography using proper technique including proper positioning of patients.
• Have a complete understanding of normal ranges of patient vital signs, including but not limited to heart and respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure and oxygen saturation.
• Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes and issues.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Properly calculate medical math (including constant rate infusions) and administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
• Are proficient at performing phlebotomy and placing intravenous catheters in all peripheral vessels.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
• Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
• Have patience and empathy to address client concerns.
