Position Overview:

Providing support to Veterinarians, clients, and patients through delivering excellent and quality care utilizing your knowledge and skills such as:

Veterinary Technician Job Responsibilities:
  1. Provide animal care by assessing animal requirements.
  2. Conduct examinations and diagnostic procedures.
  3. Assist during surgeries and procedures.
  4. Feed and care for animals.
  5. Maintain supplies and equipment.
  6. Keep accurate records.
  7. Determine animal requirements through examinations and interviews.
  8. Perform laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and studies.
  9. Take vital signs and collect samples.
  10. Administer medications, drugs, and vaccines.
  11. Bandage and wrap wounds.
  12. Perform hydrotherapy and other therapies.
  13. Support animal examinations by assembling necessary supplies and instruments.
  14. Explain animal health status to owners.
  15. Prepare surgical instruments and supplies.
  16. Complete local/regional anesthesia procedures.
  17. Place catheters and obtain blood gases as needed.
  18. Maintain sterile conditions.
  19. Obtain and verify medications.
  20. Clean animal cages and equipment.
  21. Ensure a safe, secure, and humane environment by sterilizing instruments, sanitizing areas, verifying medication shelf life, and complying with legal regulations.
  22. Enhance service reputation by taking ownership of tasks and exploring opportunities to add value.
  23. Maintain controlled drug logs monthly in accordance with state laws and company policies.
  24. Review monthly inactivated and deceased patient files to ensure proper record keeping.
