The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach seeks an experienced Veterinary/Surgery Technician to join our clinic team in North Myrtle Beach, SC. We welcome both full-time and part-time applicants and will tailor a schedule with the right candidate.
You will assist veterinarians with spay/neuter and other surgeries, prep patients, monitor anesthesia, draw blood, maintain records, and keep the clinic clean and organized.
The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach is looking for an experienced, compassionate Veterinary/Surgery Technician to join our clinic team. We are open to full-time or part-time candidates and are willing to work with the right person to find a schedule that works.
This position plays an important role in providing veterinary care to the homeless animals at our shelter while also supporting the affordable veterinary services we provide to pets in our community.
Previous veterinary technician experience is strongly preferred, and surgical and anesthesia experience is especially important for this position. We need someone who is confident in a clinical setting, pays attention to detail and understands the importance of excellent patient monitoring and care.
We’re also looking for someone who is dependable, compassionate, communicates well and can handle the sometimes fast-paced and emotional nature of shelter medicine.
Shelter medicine is different. You aren't simply treating a patient—you’re helping give an animal the chance to move on to a whole new life.
At HSNMB, you’ll work alongside a small, dedicated team that genuinely cares about the animals and about one another. You’ll have the opportunity to use your veterinary skills to help animals who may not have anyone else advocating for them while also helping make veterinary care more accessible to our community.
And while shelter medicine can certainly be messy, busy and occasionally heartbreaking, there are also a whole lot of happy endings.
If you have veterinary experience and are looking for meaningful work where your skills make a difference every day, we would love to hear from you.
