The Humane Society of the Piedmont is seeking experienced veterinary technicians to join our fast-paced full-service clinic and spay/neuter program in Greensboro, NC. The role involves assisting veterinarians, restraining and handling animals, and preparing for surgeries in a high-volume environment.
Candidates should have at least 2 years of veterinary assistant/tech experience, with preference for surgical or full-service settings, and certifications such as Rabies Vaccinator or Fear Free

The HSP Full Service and Spay/Neuter Clinic is a fast-paced, high quality and high volume animal clinic. We seeking several Experienced Veterinary Techs to join our team. We are looking for assistants in full service and surgery.

Responsibilities include:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities, but will be expected to work independently with minimal supervision after initial training period.
This role will need to handle chemicals, bio-hazardous waste, and requires lifting up to 50 lbs. Candidates must be able to restrain difficult cats and sometimes large, unsocialized dogs without getting injured or endangering others.
Vet assistants in this position are expected to work 36-40 hours a week. This position is eligible for overtime. Schedule includes shifts between Monday - Friday 7am - 7pm and possibly Saturdays 8am - 12pm.
At least 2 years of veterinary assistant/tech experience required.
Experience as a vet assistant in a surgical setting preferred.
Experience as a vet assistant in a full service setting preferred.
Experience with canine and feline dental cleanings preferred.
Certified Rabies Vaccinator preferred.
Fear Free certified preferred.
Willingness to teach and to learn.
'Can-do' attitude and sense of humor required ... this is hard work - you gotta be able to smile while doing it!
A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
All candidates are expected to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screen.
Must be able to hustle and be eager to learn.
Must care about animals and fit in with the amazing team we already have.
Someone who has never heard 'I can't' will fit in great here!
